Jagged Little Bag exists because life in one of Africa’s largest urban slums is tough. But the women who live there are tougher. Our bags are made by women who face hardship every day, yet find ways to come together, share skills and lift each other up. With thread and bead, they create colour, beauty and moments of hope in places that don’t always offer much of either. Each bag is handmade and hand beaded, imperfect, unique, and full of character, just like its maker. No two are the same. When you carry a Jagged Little Bag, you carry a piece of someone’s courage and creativity. You also help her earn a fair income and build a path towards a better future for herself and her family.
